1. About the service
yourshortsite.link ("we", "us", "the service") is a URL shortening platform that allows users to create short links, generate QR codes, build UTM-tagged URLs, and analyse click data. The service is operated by the owner of yourshortsite.link.
We offer a free tier and a paid Pro tier (£3.99/month). Features and limits differ between tiers as described on our homepage.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this service to shorten or share links that:
- Contain malware, spyware, ransomware, or any other harmful software
- Distribute spam or unsolicited commercial messages
- Host phishing pages or impersonate other organisations
- Contain child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any such links will be immediately removed and reported to the relevant authorities
- Promote illegal activities under UK, EU, or international law
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties
- Harass, threaten, or harm individuals
- Circumvent other platforms' terms of service via redirect
We reserve the right to remove any link that violates these terms without notice.
3. Link permanence and availability
We intend for all links to remain active indefinitely. However, we do not guarantee 100% uptime or permanent availability. Links associated with abusive content may be deactivated at any time. We are not liable for any loss caused by link unavailability.
4. Advertisements
Links created by guest users and free account holders are served with a brief advertisement interstitial before redirecting. Pro subscribers' links redirect immediately with no advertisement. By creating a free link, you acknowledge and accept this behaviour.
5. Pro subscriptions and billing
Pro plans are billed monthly at £3.99 via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time — your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of any content (URLs, slug names) you submit. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
yourshortsite.link, its logo, design, and code are the property of the service owner. You may not reproduce them without written permission.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not control the content of destination URLs and accept no liability for the content of third-party websites. You use redirected links at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your links may remain accessible until manually removed.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be notified via the website.
